For the month of January we have the following events coming up:

  • 2nd & 3rd Feb: Professional Development (no school)

Thursday and Friday are scheduled Professional Development Day.
We are inviting parents who can make the time to join with us at the start of the day on Thursday.
The purpose is to have as many available staff and family join in prayer for the specific needs of the school. Two items will be on the important list:
1. Prayer for each class and its children
2. Prayer for the location of our school starting as soon as possible but known before the end of the school year.

  • 7th - 9th Feb: Gr. 4 & Gr. 7 FSA Testing

During the specified three days Grades 4 and 7 will undergo the Foundation Skills Assessment. The FSA measures important skills in the provincial curriculum. The results will go directly do the Ministry of Education.

  • 8th Feb: Field Trip for Kindergarten, Primary and Senior Class

  • 23rd Feb: Theme Day: Circus Day and Shared Lunch

 As it has been a tradition, every last Friday of the month we celebrate a Theme Day. January's Theme Day will be "Winter Wonderland". Students have the choice to come in dressed according to the theme and will enjoy theme activities in the afternoon.
During Lunch, a chosen group of parents will bring in food items so that the children are able to enjoy a home-made buffet.

  • 28th Feb: Science Fair

 

PARENT PRAYER GROUP

Parent Prayer will happen Wednesdays starting at approx. 8:30am once students have arrived in their classes. The group will meet in the Green-room for about 20 to 30 minutes.

 

GYMNASTICS!


This term starting January 6th up until March 16th, the children will have Gymnastics classes on either Monday or Friday mornings.

The children will need to be dropped off at the usual spot in front of the Osborne Gym at 8.20am. If it is not their turn of gymnastics, they will need to be at the school at 8.30am.

Please note:
Grades 3-9 have gymnastics on Mondays

Grades K-2 have gymnastics on Fridays
