The Bible opens with “In the beginning God…”. God is the beginning of all life, without Him there is no knowledge, no truth.

At Westside Christian School our goal is to encourage and nurture our students to become critical thinkers. We use the B.C. curriculum and the topics provided as a launching point for more in-depth interaction and discussion. Every topic is approached with enthusiastic wonder and curiosity at what the Lord will reveal about Himself and His world. Every fragment is examined with one hand firmly gripping His truth that we might understand and apply what the other hand exposes. Within every textbook is a fact of discovery, an observed phenomenon with which we can interact, debate and discuss.

We encourage our students to observe, question, classify, discern in light of the mind of Christ and evaluate, compare and contrast with conclusions formulated by humankind. Children learn to listen actively, ask probing questions, engage in effective conversation and form Godly relationships. This kind of environment, far from being a Christian ghetto is an exciting place of academic challenge. Students are prepared and equipped to think at a high level.

Westside Christian School is an academic school. Academic excellence and challenges are considered with the utmost seriousness at our school. Students engage their culture and challenge world-views. They learn to express themselves in a way that is respectful, clear and thoughtful.
